We saw the film 'Slaughter house' today down at cineworld. This film was interesting to say the least. I thought the sound and techniques were very successfully used specifically at the start. The camera angles and fast pace scene changes i felt really added to the suspense and build up within the unraveling plot. Editing techniques such as graphic match were used as transitions from scene to scene which i though was used very efficiently.
The story line didn't really appeal to me and i didn't really connect with the characters as such as usual in films such as 'The Searching'. Slaughterhouse is not the sort of film i would usually go and watch, personally i am more intrigued if i some what connect with the characters or story line. This particular film did not make me feel anything or question anything. I was a little confused when the credits came up as to what the story line actually was because it didn't not appear clear to me even at the end, a few other people i asked also agreed with me.
Never the less, I thought the filming techniques throughout were something to take note of along with the lighting and sound which set an atmospheric scene.
