In Faye's theory lesson today we watched a dystopian episode called The Handmade's Tale. I enjoyed watching this as it allowed me to gain more understanding on the term 'dystopia' and abled me to analyse the episode to the fullest bellow....

The film a Handmades tale is said to be a very thought provoking series which i would definitely agree on. The series as a whole was very talked about specifically when it was first released last year. Dystopian films are very controverial and this film imparticular sparked some intresting veiws.
In my opinion the directors aim was to create an over exaggerated version of todays society. Imparticularly Law and order. To enforce people to think deeper about the way society could be going in real life and possibly even scare them showing them a parralel of our reality. The idea of 'a new normality.'
A particular quote stood out to me in the episode which was 'This may not seem ordinary to you now, but this will become ordinary.' the idea that overtime this will be seen as normality to them, that the charecters believe they are living a utopian world as it has been made their reality.
