Editing process
Today i have been working on the edit for my social action documentary. I put together my title pages outside of college on Adobe After Effects. In the end i chose a white background with black text. My idea behind this was to create a 'text' type theme. Because my documentary is about the effects of social media. I decided it would be more suitable to use this background as appose to black on white or any other colour because it matches the concept.
I have had little to no problems with the editing so far apart from a few audio issues that were easy to fix in 'Adobe Audition' by lifting the sound slightly and cropping out any crashes and bangs in the background.
My initial idea was to have the text typed using the 'typewriter' tool on After effects, onto a green message to create the illusion it was being sent as a text. This would add to the conventions of a social media documentary. Although, i had issues with this as the image was to small to use unless it was stretched. Therefore, i decided to just keep it simple and go with the plain white background which still gives it the effect.
