We spent the lesson presenting to the class our 'Next step' power points. We discussed our three chosen university's along with our own individual plan for the next step.
I presented the cities Nottingham, Cardiff and Sussex.
During everyone else's presentation we made notes and considered other options that might be suitable for us. It was helpful for all our research to be put together covering the whole of the UK. It opened up new ideas and considerable options we might not have even thought about before.
In terms of my actual presentation i felt i wasn't able to deliver as best i could and the way i had planned. I resulted in having to improvise last minute instead of referring to my pre-planned notes full of extra research. This was because i got carried away with delivering as much information as possible at the beginning that I ended up loosing track of the page i was on. I did not want to be looking down and attempting to find my notes because i felt as though this would of been highly distracting. I managed to improvise as best i could in the situation although i i was to re-do my presentation i would slow down the pace in order to get all my important information across.
Overtime, i will progress on my presentation skills to ensure i deliver all my research to prevent missing out any key information. I must admit, nerves and pressure got the better of me in this specific instance. Next time i will learn from my mistakes and hopefully improve throughout the year on my presentation skills.
