I was back in today for the morning to ensure my edit was finalized so i could send it off so that i could receive feedback for my evaluation. I spent the morning color correcting each individual clip to make sure the colors were as vibrant as possible on the color side and as dark and contrasted on the black and white side. This took many attempts to get right because i kept finding new things i wanted to change or alter in order to make it more effective.

My idea was that when one side of the split screen was in color the back and white side was muted, allowing the sound to be shared at the best points from both individual pieces. When the visuals were not in color the sound would also be muted. This made the sound extra complicated to edit, in the way i had to ensure it was bang on so that it didn't overlap to much and get confusing.

Feedback

I got feedback from my peers after posting my finalized video installation, I was extremely pleased with the feedback i received particularly because the comments related back to my initial aim, written on my proposal. The aim was to strongly create something interesting, satisfying and relaxing to watch. Something that could have many different meanings to each individual depending on how they interpret it. I feel that really paid off in the result of my feedback.
